Disguises/ Inserts/Partisans

The Partisans were formed by drummer Michael “Spike” Jenkins & bass player Alistair Smith who had previously been in the band the Disguises that had Andrew John on guitar. (John went on to lead various bands in Swansea up to the present day and now is in Jo Shmo).

The two new people to enter the band were Pete Tull on guitar (now involved with the Greek motorcycle team) and the front man and vocalist, the wild man Bernie (Derick Bolton).

The Partizans had a good following on the Swansea area music scene and were regulars at such venues as the Coach House. They were often playing the same gigs as the Venom and in the earlier gigs as the Disguises would play with the DC10’s as Alistair Smith & Andrew Reader used to house share in Wheaton House at Sandy Lane, owned by AlistairUncle Martin Ace from the 60,s early 70,s Welsh Band “Man”.

The Partizans had a very energetic lively set of a mixture of their own and cover songs.
